Marked by a National Historic Sites cairn, this spot on Bonanza Creek was where the Klondike Gold Rush was born. In 1896, George Carmack, Skookum Jim and Tagish Charlie found gold here, their discovery sparking a flood of gold-seekers into the Klondike.
