Bonanza Creek
+ My Favorites
Formerly named Rabbit Creek, this is the stream in which gold was found by three gold seekers in 1896, sparking the great Klondike Gold Rush. Bonanza Creek rises near Dawson City and flows approximately 32 km northwest to the Klondike River. Just outside town, the creek is the setting for the historic Dredge no. 4 (the continent's biggest bucket line dredge) and, a little further downstream, the Free Claim no. 6, where visitors can pan for gold.

Yukon River
+ My Favorites
Measuring 3018 km (1875 mi) long, the Yukon River is a major body of water running through Alaska and the Yukon Territory. The river was used to transport goods and passengers during the Klondike Gold Rush. Paddle-wheel boats were the main type of transportation on the river during the 1950s.
